Soccer drill procedure

Let’s try a variation on goal shot training with a double pass before the goal shot. The markers are only set up to help with orientation in this drill, and can be removed later.

Description

The way the drill works is described clearly in the animation. The first player in the starting row plays a short pass to the receiving player. This player then controls the ball until the starting player has positioned himself at the left-hand marker. He then passes the ball to the starting player. After the pass, the “yellow” player runs into the centre, receives the pass, and shoots at the goal. The starting player then becomes the supporting player, and the original supporting player joins the starting line.

Variations

- Different goal shot techniques
- Do the drill on the other side

Soccer coach tips

- Correct errors individually
- Always train using both legs!
