Soccer training – Goalkeeping - Exercise:

Previous exerciseGoalkeeper-RollNext exercise

Soccer drill procedure

We think it’s better to vary the ball and not only have it against the direction of movement. This stops the goalkeeper from getting used to the movements.

Description

We’ll put up two poles; of course, you can also train in the goalposts. The goalkeeper positions himself on the goal line, does a backwards roll, and then tries to save the ball that the coach kicks or throws. The roll alternates to either side.

Variations

- Forward roll

Soccer coach tips

- Start slowly and increase the tempo towards the end
- Good timing
