Just like in the “changes of direction” exercise, the most difficult part for the goalkeeper is the movement he has to make before the goal shot is carried out.
With his legs together, the goalkeeper jumps over a flat hurdle of cone markers. The goalkeeper’s eyes are always on the ball. After jumping over the hurdle, the coach makes the goal shot. The goalkeeper saves the ball. Attention: this is a very intensive exercise for the goalkeeper. Be sure to plan in plenty of breaks.
