Soccer drill procedure

When the animation was finished, I couldn’t really make much of it. But in our box of tricks, you should always be able to clearly see exactly what needs to happen, and when. For that reason, I’ve taken the slightly unusual step of adding a slow-motion function and an exact text description. Now the movements required for the drill are clear, and all you need to do is put the theory into practice.

We admit that it’s not too easy, and that some practice is required. But once your body has got used to the movement and it’s become second nature, and your speed increases, everyone else will be truly amazed.

Variations

- Start from the left-hand side.
- Don’t stop after performing the drill – the ball isn’t set down. Keep repeating the drill. Basically, this means that after the ball is pulled back, you stop it and the sequence starts again from the beginning. That makes it really run.

Soccer coach tips

- Fluid motion
- Start in slow-motion
